HOW IT WORKS

Treatments Almost Always Covered by Medical Insurance Include:

  • Accidental injury to mouth or teeth

  • Oral surgery to treat tumors, cysts, abscess, cancer, and other disease

  • Any other non-dental oral surgery

  • Surgical treatment for TMJ disorder (TMD)

  • Night guard for bruxism (teeth grinding)

  • Oral appliance for sleep apnea

  • Biopsy

Treatments Covered by Several but not all Medical Insurance Include:

  • "Dental" (endosteal) implants

  • Crowns for the dental implants

  • Temporary and permanent dentures for the dental implants

  • Surgical removal of wisdom teeth

  • Surgical removal of other disordered teeth

  • Surgical repair of jaw bone loss, for example due to missing teeth

  • Sinus lift bone graft

What do the Claim Filing Fees Cover?

The filing fees (including commision) cover the costs, time, and effort for various processing activities, some examples of which are:

  • Gathering, reviewing, and/or submitting medical records.

  • Preparing and/or submitting medical research to support your claim(s).

  • Preparing and filing your claim(s).

  • Reviewing your insurance coverage, when necessary, to help maximize your refund.

  • Preparing other supporting documents.

  • Preparing and filing appeals, when necessary.

  • Sending certified mail to your insurer.

  • Review of your claim for potential attorney involvement, which may be needed to reach an agreement with your insurer.

How do I Get Started?

  1. Purchase a claim service package. Up to two medical claims can be filed within 3 months of purchase (or within 18 months of purchase if you need to replace your medical insurance with one that covers future oral & maxillofacial treatment proposed by your doctor).

  2. Once you checkout, you'll be presented with a form. Follow the easy directions on the form to provide us with some basic information such as your insurance member ID. We'll also show you how to quickly obtain medical records from your doctor to support your claim.
